Micklethwait BBQ
Full Brand Identity: Custom Hand Drawn Logo, Icons & Badges
Storefront Signage, Logo & Hours on Glass, Large Billboard Mural, Custom Cut MDO Icon and Interior Mural
Micklethwait Craft Meats has grown a lot since opening the original trailer off Tillery in 2012, most recently opening their new brick and mortar in an old Baptist church off Springdale. Tom Micklethwait reached out to us for a full brand design to dial in the focus on white oak - the source of their signature smoke, and the natural landscape awaiting visitors to the barbecue church. We created a hand drawn logo, paired with lockups and typefaces, that together reference the Arts & Crafts movement with a modern finish.
Manning Signs got to realize the design through the hand painted storefront treatment. The signage highlights the welcoming nature of the space and a large vintage style billboard mural details the offerings within. Smaller touches like icons and taglines adorn both the exterior and interior space, tying the art of hospitality and the craft of barbecue in one holy space.
